The “ right woman” that browses through my site will know what I am about. She will see what I see through my eyes and the photos. She will know how I feel through the images that I find interesting, my words, my poetry, my love of dance, and the music I chose; and she will know how I think through my educational and business choices and pursuits. ...then I hope that she will also know what I want, and know if there is a potential match with what she wants.

The BIG Questions: Why am I still single? ...and why are you?

My answer is that time slipped up on me while I was trying to conquer other goals. It seemed that the time was never right. and that I was not ready. In addition, I made up my mind as a child that I would wait until I was sure that I would have the right woman to create a really good marriage and family full of love, loyalty, and positivity -- working together to resolve any and all challenges that might occur. ...and I imagined that SHE would be of greater than average attractiveness and that we would NOT be constrained by race, color, language, location, or culture. I imagined that SHE would be intelligent, and able to communicate successfully with me and I with her... ...and that we would both use our intelligence to always find new ways to make LOVE grow... along with shared intimacy, sexuality, and commitment. ...BUT... What happened? Well, there is the possibility that a handful of women that I might have wanted to meet, or to get to know may not have been interested in me. Hmmmmmm????? Could that be possible? AND now... I am a mature man, over 40 years old, who is eager to have a family and children... so I am forced to focus mainly on women of prime child bearing age... 21 to 33 years old... but most of the women who are attracted to me are 38 to 50+ years old. ...AND more mature women are best for me in terms of a matching spirit, emotions, maturity, experience, communication, harmony, compatibility, knowledge, etc., etc., etc.

WHAT A DILEMA!!!!! God has a strange sense of humor about relationships, marriage, and male and female biological difference as they mature. It probably has something to do with the survival of our species... but it does not make relationships easy.

I am NOT the typical American... in that I know about the humanity, cultures, and the daily struggles of people around the world... including Eastern Europe and Asia. Basically, people everywhere have the same primary concerns... struggle for life... survival, daily food and comforts, love and family... and self-fulfillment... just like YOU and me...!

So... I of course love languages...

I am good at my native language English but also speak some French, Spanish, Swedish, and am currently studying Russian. In time, I will also learn Mandarin and others.

The country is one of the smallest in Europe so it tends to be overlooked. You won't find Pridnestrovie (PMR) in history books ... it only declared independence in 1990, less than 17 years ago. Still in the process of formalizing its international recognition, it's one of the newest countries in the world, nested on the banks of the Dniester River, near the beautiful Black Sea and in easy reach from both Poland and Hungary. Tiraspol The capital of Pridnestrovie is a modern, clean city with extensive areas of beautiful parkland bordering the Dniester River. Daily life: A street in Tiraspol Tiraspol derives from classical Greek roots and means "the town on the Dniester". The country�s capital dates back to the year 600 B.C. when a settlement called "Tyras" was originally founded on this location. In its modern form, Tiraspol appeared on the map in 1792 during the Russian and Turkish battle near Bender Fortress. In just a few months, a fortress with 3 towers was constructed to strengthen the positions of the Russian Army lead by Alexander Suvorov. Tiraspol and Pridnestrovie has traditionally been on the faultline between a clash of civilizations. The Dniester River has for ages represented a border where civilizations meet, and in 1792 it was the case of Muslim vs Christian Orthodox forces. Tiraspol, on the Christian side, was the outpost in the fault line war between the Ottoman Empire (Turkish forces) and the European civilization (represented by Imperial Russia). After Russia consolidated its dominance over the area, the fortress was transformed into a prison. There, during the Czarist rule, many Decembrists were held. Inspired by the American revolution Decembrists were reformers who tried to overthrow the Czar and bring liberal democratic government to Russia. They were influenced by the successful French revolution and the ideas of the American revolution. One of Prince Wittgenstein's sons, based in Kamenka (northern Pridnestrovie) was a prominent Decembrist leader. Today in Tiraspol you can see statues and monuments to the Decembrists, whereas the fortress itself was later destroyed. Today we can see the ruins of only one tower. Tiraspol is a city with strong Jewish roots. In 1897, before a subsequent Romanian/Moldovan invasion and extermination campaign, 27 percent of the city's population were Jews. They contributed to architecture and a strong musical tradition which is alive today thanks to Pridnestrovie's State Symphony Orchestra. Tiraspol is a green city with a beautiful leisure zone on the banks of the Dniester. There is an old Tree Garden in the centre of the town. You can also visit The History Museum, T.G. Shevchenko University, the Drama Theatre, monuments to A. Suvorov and the Decembrist V. Raievscki. For a relaxing side trip, head outside of town to spend a day at Lake Kuchurgan. Today the city is home to 159,000 inhabitants. A little over 10 percent are ethnic Moldavians, the rest are mostly Slavs. The statue of Russian field marshal Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov stands in Tiraspol, capital of independent Pridnestrovie. A.V. Suvorov was one of few great generals in history who never lost a battle. He was famed for his manual The Science of Victory, and noted for the saying "Train hard, fight easy." Considered the father of the Pridnestrovie, in 1792 he founded modern Tiraspol through a decree of the creation of the city by Catherine II, and the plan of a fortress. Suvorov is revered in Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublica, almost as the patron saint of the country. The fact that he never lost a battle carries a great mythology for the Pridnestrovians. They remember how, during the recent 1992 war, their small country did not lose to the invasion force from much larger Moldova next door. In the consolidation of their country's independence, the people of Pridnestrovie have adopted Suvorov as their symbol ... because he never lost a battle and, so the saying goes, neither will the PMR.
